Scratch ranch dressing

This is better than anything you'll get in a bottle or from a powdered mix.

  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup Italian flat-leaf parsley (leaves only, minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (minced )
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon white vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Dash hot sauce (I recommend Crystal)
  • ¼ to ½ cup buttermilk (to desired consistency)
  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except the buttermilk. Whisk well.

  2. Slowly add buttermilk to desired consistency. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
